In May 2011 Wild Mountain Farm started a monthly delivery of freezer
orders to customers in the Halifax area. It's been a huge success so far!
Customers fill out our custom order form to build an order and once a month
we bring all the orders in to a central pick-up location. The pick-up location
is at Local Source Market on the corner of Charles and Agricola streets in
the Halifax North End. You have a 4-hour window to come in and pick up the
order, which usually happens on the first Wednesday of every month
(3-7pm). This overlaps with the exciting Hutten Family Farm weekly produce
CSA, which many of our customers are signed up for too!
We pack the orders in grey Rubbermaid plastic totes which you can take
home and bring back the next time you pick up your order. Please
remember them!
For simplicity, you can create a regular occuring monthly order, but there is
no long term committment because you can stop whenever you want or
modify an order by using the form again. Most customers like to start with a
one-time order or two until they figure out what they like and how much they
use.
Although it's a monthly delivery, you don't have to get an order every month.
It's really up to your needs and how much freezer space you have!
Payment can be made by cash, check, credit card, or Interac email transfer
after we have confirmed your order and provided a total.
More pick-up locations will be created according to the distribution of
interest. Please send us an email if you think there may be enough interest
to start a delivery in your community!
